What this looks like in your organization

You probably recognize at least two of these.
They rarely come from bad intentions, and they rarely go away on their own.

  • The same disagreement resurfaces every few weeks, in a slightly different form.
  • Meetings run long because two people need detail and two others need to move.
  • A manager gives feedback that lands as criticism, and does not understand why.
  • Someone withdraws under pressure, and the team reads it as disengagement.

What changes with PCM

PCM describes six ways of perceiving and communicating that we all carry, in a different order for each of us. Once a team knows its own map, the guesswork drops.

People read each other accurately
Friction becomes information. Your team learns to hear a colleague’s intent behind a style that is simply different from their own.

Managers adapt without guessing
Each Personality Type has needs that, when met, keep people at their best. Your managers learn to recognize them and respond.

Stress becomes readable
PCM describes the predictable behaviors people show under pressure. Teams learn to spot the early signals, in themselves and in others.

How PCM team communication training works

Three steps, run by a PCM Certified Professional. Timing adapts to your team’s size and availability.

1

Everyone gets their Profile

Each participant answers the PCM questionnaire and receives their own Personality Structure, with a debrief to make sense of it.

2

The team works on its own map

A facilitated session on your team’s real dynamics, using situations your people actually bring, not case studies.

3

The practice continues

Managers leave with the vocabulary and the reflexes to keep using the model in one-to-ones, feedback and daily decisions.

Choose the format that fits

Every format below is the same team communication training at its core. The depth and the setting adapt to what you need.

Questions we get asked

If yours is not here, ask us directly.

PCM is a communication model built on six Personality Types that we all carry, in an order that is unique to each person. It describes how people prefer to communicate, what keeps them motivated, and how they behave under stress. It was developed by Dr. Taibi Kahler and has been used in organizations since the late 1970s.

PCM does not sort people into a single category. Everyone has all six Personality Types, in a personal order that shifts over time. PCM also focuses on observable behavior rather than self-declared preference, which makes it usable in the middle of a conversation, not just in a workshop.

Yes, and it is one of the strengths of PCM. Sessions run in person or remotely, always led by a PCM Certified Professional. Many organizations choose the remote format, and the model works just as well when the team is spread across locations.

PCM Core Topics runs over five half-days. Tailor-made programmes are built around your constraints, so the duration is set with you when we scope the format.

Yes. The value of a team session comes from working with everyone’s real Personality Structure. Without individual Profiles, the session stays theoretical.

Team programmes are quoted according to group size, format and location. Individual Profiles start at $400. Tell us about your team and we will scope it together.
